Ron & Cindy Stricklin will be showing their artwork in the One Door North Gallery through September and October.
The Stricklin’s
We are Ron and Cindy Stricklin. We are both lifelong residents of Kansas. Cindy moved to Alden at a young age and I was raised in Raymond. We have been married for 36 years and have resided in Alden the entire time.
All of our woodworking is done with a scroll saw and a couple of band saws plus sanders and other small tools. No computer-aided tools like CNC or others are used. Some of the patterns are copies, but a lot are designed by Cindy. Our small shop is not heated or air-conditioned.
I avoid very complex scroll saw patterns with hundreds of holes. They are too time-consuming and hard on the old eyes. Our band saw boxes are very popular as are our Christmas ornaments. We also do custom work so contact us if you have something specific in mind and Cindy can probably design a pattern for you.
Ron does all of the saw work and Cindy does the majority of the sanding and finishes work.
Most of the wood we use is from central Kansas with the exception of plywood and mahogany. .
If you buy something we made we say Thank You – if you see something that brings a smile to your face or a pleasant memory that is appreciated just as much.
